The Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement on a seven-year contract with Tony Romo that clears up cap space and locks up their quarterback.
The six-year extension is worth $108 million, according to league sources.
Romo's salary cap number was set to be $16.8 million in the final year of his current deal.
He receives more guaranteed money than in the six-year, $120.6 million contract that Joe Flacco recently signed with Baltimore Ravens, sources said.
Romo will receive $55 million guaranteed from the Cowboys, $3 million more than what Flacco got from the Ravens.
The Falcons found a replacement for John Abraham on Wednesday by reaching an agreement with free agent defensive end Osi Umenyiora on a two-year contract.
A league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that Umenyiora's deal is for $8.5M, with a max value of $12M, including $5M guaranteed.
The Baltimore Ravens have reached an agreement with Michael Huff on a three-year contract worth $6 million, according to a league source.
The defending Super Bowl champions were in need of a safety after they parted ways with veteran Ed Reed.
Huff was released by the Raiders on March 12 before he was to receive a $4 million roster bonus.
Punter Shane Lechler agreed to terms Friday with the Texans, and said in a phone interview he will sign the contract Saturday. His departure from the Raiders is not a surprise.
"When I had zero contract talks throughout the year, or to this date -- to now -- yeah, I figured it was done," Lechler said.
ESPN reported Lechler would receive a $1M bonus and a maximum of $5.5M over three seasons.
